About Our Choirs
Aurora (Children's Choir Grades 2 - 5) – These singers experience the foundational elements of the choral arts (music theory, vocal pedagogy, performance techniques) through fun activities such as movement and dance, music technology and playing instruments in addition to traditional choral rehearsal techniques. Aurora performs at two major concerts each year as well as outreach performances and special events. Aurora rehearses for 1 1/2 hours each week. Placement is based upon vocal ability and aural music skills demonstrated during the informal interview.
Kyla Bailey, Director – Aurora, Tampa
Amiaza (Girl Choir - Grades 6 - 12) - This intermediate level ensemble is a select group of girls who exhibit vocal skill as well as musicianship. The focus of Amiaza is development of healthy vocal production, deeper understanding of music theory, and experiencing core choral repertoire. Amiaza performs at three major concerts each year, at outreach performances and special events, and tours domestically each season. Amiaza rehearses for 2 hours each week.

Stele (Girl Choir – Grades 9 – 12) – This advanced choir is comprised of girls who have previous choral experience either through Amiaza (Girl Choir), school, church or private music instruction. A continued emphasis on excellent vocal technique and mastering advanced music theory concepts allows this ensemble to successfully perform some of the most challenging treble choral literature available. Stele performs at three major concerts each year, at outreach performances and special events, and tours either domestically or internationally each season. Stele rehearses for 2 hours each week in Tampa only.
Deah McReynolds, Director – Stele, Tampa
Serata (Boys Choir - Grades 6 - 12) – This ensemble is a select group of boys who exhibit vocal skill as well as musicianship. The focus of Serata is development of healthy vocal production – specializing in helping boys navigate the physical and emotional consequences of the changing voice, deeper understanding of music theory, and experiencing a wide variety of choral repertoire. Serata performs at three major concerts each year, at outreach performances and special events, and tours domestically each season. Serata rehearses for 2 hours each week in Tampa only.

Voci de Lumina (Grades 9 – 12) - Selected by audition from Stele & Serata, this smaller ensemble explores choral music of all styles from chamber music to vocal jazz both accompanied and a cappella. Voci performs at three major concerts each year, at outreach performances and special events, and tours either domestically or internationally each season. Voci rehearses for 1 hour each week in Tampa only.
